Families First

Families First is a non-profit agency in metro Atlanta that offers individual and family counseling. We help young pregnant women continue their education and reach independence and offer specialized foster care for children in need. Families First provides support services for foster parents and helps people who want to adopt. Our nurturing group homes for abused, neglected and abandoned children give them stability and security. Homeless young mothers find assistance in our transitional housing.

Families First families enjoyed a back to school bonanza thanks to Anisa Telwar, CEO of Anisa International. A long-time friend and donor to Families First, Anisa brought 500 brand new backpacks filled with school supplies just in time for the first day of school.

LifeLine

LifeLine Animal Project is an Atlanta-based non-profit organization working on collaborative solutions to end pet overpopulation and stop the euthanasia of healthy and treatable dogs and cats in metro Atlanta animal shelters. LAP's focus is to promote the adoption of homeless pets and to initiate and support effective spay and neuter programs. The guiding principle behind all LifeLine programs is to foster cooperation between the more than 150 companion animal rescue groups, humane societies, and county animal control agencies serving greater Atlanta.

Students Without Mothers

Students Without Mothers is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping high school students without mothers help themselves by empowering them to continue their education. In many cases, the mothers have passed away, but students will also be considered for assistance if their mothers are ill, incarcerated, or otherwise unable to provide the support and guidance young people need.

Target House is a new approach to housing for long-term patients and their families from across the nation as they undergo treatment for cancer and other catastrophic diseases at St. Jude.
