HBA IPDA Awards Recognize Outstanding Cosmetics, Fragrance, Personal Care, Skin Care and Sustainable Packaging Innovations

Atlanta, Ga., USA — Anisa International, Inc. announces that their Magnetic Brush with Genius Set developed for Bare Escentuals has been chosen as a finalist in HBA Global Expo's International Packaging Design Awards (IPDA) in the new Tools/At Home Devices category. This is the second time the company has been chosen as a finalist for these prestigious awards, which honor the year's most innovative packaging in several categories including cosmetics, fragrance, personal care and skin care..

The Brush with Genius Set, retailed and marketed by Bare Escentuals, is particularly unique due to its patent-pending magnetic technology, which allow five brush heads to be interchangeably placed on a double-ended brush handle, perfect for travel. In keeping with the company's signature vision of innovation, Anisa International developed the technology with the beauty consumers' continuing demand for more inventive and economical cosmetic tools in mind.

As the only design award to celebrate the year’s most innovative packaging in all of beauty’s product categories, the HBA IPDA received more than 200 entries from major brands, niche players and indie companies. Two new categories were added this year to reflect growing areas for packaging innovation: Sampling/Travel Size and Tools/At-Home Devices.

The Committee of 100, made up of packaging executives, designers, suppliers and media, selected finalists in 11 categories. From among these finalists the Category Winners will be announced at the HBA Global Expo & Conference taking place June 28-30, 2011 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.
